On Moon 36, Gold Pool is born to Dogwood Foot and Rock Ear alongside her siblings: Gray Fur, Squirrel Tuft, Thrush Pelt, and Twig Leaf. She was mentored by Spider. She graduates and is honored for her strength. While on patrol, she gets into a fight with Buckeye and has to go to the medicine cat den for treatment.

On Moon 99, she announces she is expecting kits. She moves into the nursery, nervous about a big litter. She gives birth to Skink Speck, Hemlock Dusk, Bramble Flake, Chub Fin, and Locust Feather.
